of the year again when once exotic island of Worli rediscovers its mojo. This year, the theme revolves around
celebrating Life and celebrating the majestic island of Worli.
Next weekend, 26 to 27 January 2019, the entire Worli Sea Face will transform into one big island of celebration. Visitors can look out for 14 live performance stages powered by more than 8 bands and artists –
The performances are headlined by Band of Boys, Euphony, Charu Semwal, Shibani Kashyap, N kulkarni, Mohit Kapoor, Rahul Gomes and a lot more artists.
To be held on the waterfront of the south-western neighborhood, the Worli Festival 5.0 features a delicious
line-up of food stalls to satiate all kinds of palate and a flea market that sells everything under the sun. The
festival celebrates social growth through raising awareness on topics concerning this fishermen’s island
through activities, eco-friendly interaction, pledge walls, etc.
Morning Ragas, a special show featuring award-winning Hindustani classical singers is set to be held on
Sunday, the 27th at sunrise, i.e., 6:00 AM Onwards. Besides, there is also a special community zones
celebrating the original inhabitants of Mumbai –the ‘Kolis of Worli’.
Younger festival visitors are delighted with children’s activities and games at Fun Zone along with a zone
allowing visitors a chance to ride the Twin Tring bicycles. The highlights for kids this year though, is the meet
& greets sessions with the Stars of Imagica (Imagica Cartoon Character Mascots)
Last year, the festival attracted over 1 lakh visitors.
