Shooting Completed for Ramesh More’s Film ‘Aadishesh’
National Award-winning director Ramesh More is known for presenting heartfelt, socially relevant, and thought-provoking stories rooted in the soil and lives of common people. For the past few months, he has been engrossed in his upcoming Marathi film titled ‘Aadishesh’. The title itself is intriguing and the subject it explores is one that has never been portrayed before. The shooting of the film has now been completed.
Produced under the banner of Ashtammi Entertainment, the film marks the debut production venture of Professor Dattatray Sangore. With ‘Aadishesh’, he steps into the world of filmmaking for the first time. Apart from directing, Ramesh More has also penned the story, screenplay, dialogues, and lyrics for the film.
Ramesh More’s journey as a writer-director began in 2004 with the film ‘Akalpit’. Since then, he has made 19 films and has produced three of them. His works have been recognized both nationally and internationally, garnering numerous awards at various film festivals. His film ‘Champions’ won two National Awards – one for Best Social Film and another for Best Child Actor.
With ‘Aadishesh’, More once again takes up the challenge of telling a unique story, this time with the support of a strong ensemble cast. The film tackles the increasing concretization happening in the name of development – not just in cities, but now even in villages. This is leading to the gradual loss of nature’s vitality. Human relationships, lifestyles and traditions are becoming transactional. Even traditions are now being followed more as trends.
‘Aadishesh’ offers a critical commentary on these issues, holding up a mirror to society. The film presents a crucial and relevant subject of today’s world against the backdrop of the lush Konkan region, in an engaging and impactful manner. One could say that this film has the potential to give new direction to today’s society. The film was shot in Kadwai, Tural and Harekar Wadi in Sangameshwar, located in the scenic Konkan region.
The film stars Arun Nalawade, Pranav Raorane, Aradhana Deshpande, Vaishali Bhosale, Suchit Jadhav and Suresh Vadile. Cinematography is by Raja Phadtare, while music and background score are composed by Ameya Nare and Sajan Patel. Editing is by Abhishek Mhaskar, Costume design is by Yashashree More and makeup by Satish Bhavsar. Sound is managed by Arun Chennawar and hair styling by Rasika Gurav. Dheeraj Sangore is the production manager and Yashashree More serves as the executive producer.
