Grand Music Launch of the Film “Reel Star” To be released across Maharashtra on October 17
The much-talked-about Marathi film “Reel Star” is all set to hit the big screens across Maharashtra on October 17. From the very beginning, this film has been in the limelight, and now its melodious music has reached the audience. Through “Reel Star”, a meaningful storyline has been woven together with soulful music. The grand music release ceremony of the film ‘Reel Star’ was held at the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Auditorium near Shivaji Park, Dadar. The film’s cast, technicians, producers and the entire team were present at the ceremony. Songs from the film will be presented to music lovers under Saregama.
Produced under the banners of J-Fives Entertainment, Phoenix Group, and Initiative Films, “Reel Star” has been brought to life by producers Jose Abraham, Monica and Nishil Kambati. The film is presented by Nasir Khan and Gurvinder Singh of Nirmaldeep Production. After the Hindi-Marathi film “Anya”, directors Simmy and Robin have helmed “Reel Star”. The film narrates the story of a street vendor named Bhanudas and his family. His journey of chasing dreams is meant to inspire many and the struggles he faces are worth watching. Bhushan Manjule, brother of renowned filmmaker Nagraj Manjule, plays the lead role in the film, while Prasad Oak’s portrayal of a journalist is equally significant.
The movie, which tells the story of a “Reel Star,” features five songs that represent different moods and situations. “Drishyam”-fame music director Vinu Thomas has composed four of these songs, while “Ghaav De Jara Ra…” has been composed by music director Shubham Bhat, who has also worked as an assistant to the legendary A. R. Rahman. The song “Gar Gar Gara…”, written by Mandar Cholkar, is sung by Abhijeet Kosambi and Sayli Kamble. Mandar has also penned “Jaguya Mansokta Sare…”, which has been sung by Rohit Raut. Guru Thakur’s lyrics for “Ka Sunun Sunun Jhala…” are brought alive by Manish Rajgire’s voice, appearing at a crucial point in the film. Another soulful number, “Phulora…”, written by Mandar Cholkar, has been sung by Mugdha Karhade. The powerful song “Ghaav De Jara Ra…”, written by Vaibhav Deshmukh, has been recorded in the voice of Adarsh Shinde with music by Shubham Bhat.
The screenplay of “Reel Star” has been written by Sudhir Kulkarni, assistant director to Nagraj Manjule. Alongside Bhushan Manjule and Prasad Oak, the film also stars Milind Shinde, Kailas Waghmare, Urmila Jagtap, Ruchira Jadhav, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Shubhangi Latkar, Vijay Patkar, Anant Mahadevan, Dnyanesh Wadekar, Mahesh Subhedar, Shivaji Patne, Ganesh Revdekar, Abhinav Patekar, Vishal Arjun, Rajesh Malvankar, Prashant Shinde, and Karishma Desale in supporting roles. Child actors Arjun Gaykar and Tanushka Mhadse play important roles as well.

The film’s characters have been enhanced by make-up artist Bhagwat Sonawane and costume designer Rani Wankhade. Deepak Pandey is the casting director, while Rohit Kulkarni has worked as associate director. The creative producer of the film is Mahendra Patil, and the chief associate director is Nandu Acharekar. The production design is by Rahul Sharma and Sameer Chitnavis and the art direction is by Nilesh Rasal.
