Bollywood Actor Varun Dhawan Shares the First Look on His Social Media
Horror-comedy films have always fascinated audiences, and ‘Hukkey’ an upcoming Marathi movie that tells the story of four friends—is set to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Following the release of its first poster, the film’s first look has now been revealed, further heightening curiosity among fans. With a strong ensemble cast and a concept that breaks away from the conventional, ‘Hukkey’s first look has quickly become the talk of social media. Bollywood star Varun Dhawan even shared the first look of ‘Hukkey’ on his social media, adding to the excitement.
Produced by Nitin M Rokade, Sunanda Kaluskar, Vinayak Pashte and Shweta Sanjay Thakre, with Sudhir Khot and Raees Khan as co-producers, ‘Hukkey’ is made under the banners of Magic Swan Studios and NMR Movies. The film is written and directed by Nitin M Rokade himself. The first look effectively captures the eerie yet entertaining essence of the movie. It opens with the blood-red eye of a crow—instantly setting a spooky tone. The next frame shows fishermen pulling their boats by the seashore, followed by the entry of four youngsters—three boys and a girl—referred to as the “Four Losers.” Soon, a terrifying night begins, trapping them in strange and mysterious situations.
The first look promises a horror-comedy experience that feels refreshingly different from the usual formula. Marathi cinema’s beloved actor Prathamesh Parab joins hands with comedy king Pandharinath “Paddy” Kamble, marking an exciting duo for audiences.
Speaking about the concept, director Nitin M Rokade said that the first look has been crafted to reflect the film’s unique tone. “It’s short, impactful, and does exactly what it’s meant to—grab attention. The perfect blend of spooky atmosphere, strong performances, background score, and well-timed subtitles makes it an engaging teaser,” he added. He believes this first look will play a key role in drawing viewers to theaters.
The screenplay of ‘Hukkey’ is co-written by Nitin M Rokade, Sandeep Kumar Roy, and Madhulita Das, with additional screenplay by Ninad Pathak and Sanjay Navgire. Alongside Prathamesh and Paddy, the film features Ravi Kishor, Prashant Mohite, Mahesh Patil, Aarti Chaubal, Varsha Dhandale, Mohak Kansara and Pankaj Vishnu.
Music for ‘Hukkey’ has been composed by Raghavendra V. and the duo Prafull-Swapnil. Notably, Raghavendra V., a renowned South Indian composer, makes his Marathi film debut with this project. Cinematography is handled by Farooq Khan, Choreography by Santosh Ganpat Palavankar and Imran Malgunkar, while the film’s thrilling action sequences are designed by Sansh Kumar and Nitin M Rokade
