Riddhi Kumar becomes Bhushan Patil’s heroine in “Kadhipatta” To release across Maharashtra on November 7
Ever since the first poster was released, the upcoming Marathi film “Kadhipatta” has created a strong buzz among cinephiles and the industry alike. News reports sparked intense curiosity about the film’s leading lady, making it one of the most discussed topics. Now, with the launch of the second poster, the face of the heroine has finally been revealed. The film is set for a grand release across Maharashtra on November 7.
Presented by Yuvan Productions, “Kadhipatta” is produced by Swapnil Yuvraj Marathe. The story and direction are by Vishwa, marking his debut as a filmmaker. Both producer Swapnil Marathe and director Vishwa are making their first venture in cinema, taking up the challenge of bringing a unique love story to the audience. The first poster, which concealed the heroine’s identity, had become a talking point everywhere. The second poster now reveals the heroine’s face. While the first poster confirmed Bhushan Patil in the lead role, it is now revealed that Riddhi Kumar stars opposite him. This pairing introduces a fresh on-screen duo, and their chemistry is expected to be one of the film’s biggest USPs. The poster shows Bhushan and Riddhi holding hands like true lovers, with bright, charming smiles on their faces.
Riddhi Kumar has earlier acted in a few web series and South Indian films. She will also appear in Prabhas’ upcoming “The Raja Saab” and has previously featured in “Radhe Shyam” alongside him. “Kadhipatta” marks her debut in Marathi cinema.
Expressing her excitement, Riddhi Kumar shared that she feels delighted to be part of such a compelling project in her very first Marathi film. She said, “Marathi cinema has always given importance to storytelling. Although Bhushan and I play the lead pair, the real hero of this film is the story. My character is very strong—an independent-minded young woman who represents today’s generation. Director Vishwa had a clear vision and producer Swapnil Marathe ensured the film got everything it needed. That’s why “Kadhipatta” will reach audiences as a quality piece of cinema.”
Alongside Bhushan Patil and Riddhi Kumar, the film also features Sanjay Mone, Shubhangi Gokhale, Akshay Tanksale, Gargi Phule, Gauri Sukhatankar, Sanika Kashikar, and Nisha Mane in supporting roles. Guest appearances include Anand Ingale, Ananda Karekar, and Chetna Bhatt.
Songs written by Mandar Cholkar, Mukund Bhalerao and Vinu Sangwan have been set to music by Padmanabh Gaikwad and Ashish Khandal, rendered by Rohit Raut, Padmanabh Gaikwad, Ananya Wadkar, Saaj Bhatt, and Priyanshi Srivastava. Cinematography is by Aniket Khandagale, while distribution will be handled by Cinepolis. Vishal Chawwan is the executive producer, with Sanyukta Subhash as project head. Background score is by Tanmay Bhide and editing by Rishiraj Joshi. Makeup is by Kiran Sawant, while costumes are designed by Pallavi Patil and Gargi Patil.
