Trailer of ‘Well Done Aai’ Launched by Mothers — Film to Release Across Maharashtra on October 31
The much-awaited Marathi film ‘Well Done Aai’, starring the comedy queen Vishakha Subhedar, who has entertained audiences across Maharashtra with her impeccable humor, has been creating buzz since its announcement. Following the teaser, the makers have now released the film’s trailer, which is engaging, intriguing, and heightens curiosity among the audience. The film is set to hit theatres across Maharashtra on October 31.
The unique aspect of the trailer launch was that it was released in the presence of the mothers of the film’s cast and crew, dedicating the event to mothers across the world. The film has been produced by Sudhir Patil under the banner of Deepali Productions. Shankar Archana Bapu Dhulgude handling both writing and direction. The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Sandeep Gachhande and Shankar Dhulgude.

After grabbing attention on social media with its teaser, the ‘Well Done Aai’ trailer begins with a light-hearted yet emotional line — “Don’t you think I should get married?” — asked by the protagonist to his mother. Vishakha Subhedar, playing the mother, also wishes for her son’s marriage. Eager to shower blessings on her son as a groom, she faces multiple challenges — the biggest being her husband Shantaram Mane. What follows is the story of how this determined mother devises clever plans to arrange her son’s wedding and handle her husband’s stubbornness. Whether the wedding finally happens or not is something audiences will discover on the big screen.
The on-screen clash and chemistry between the groom’s father and the bride’s father are expected to be highlights of the film. To bridge the gap between the two families and ensure her son’s wedding goes smoothly, the mother comes up with a plan — one that will be revealed in the film.
Director Shankar Dhulgude shared, “The trailer offers an accurate glimpse of ‘Well Done Aai’. The screenplay is full of dramatic twists, witty dialogues, and humorous moments, supported by powerful performances. The film takes a sensitive subject and presents it through humor to ensure complete family entertainment. Although many films have explored the theme of marriage, ‘Well Done Aai’ brings a refreshingly different take that audiences will surely enjoy.”
The film features a talented ensemble cast including Vishakha Subhedar, Vijay Nikam, Jaywant Wadkar, Ayush Patil, Simran Khedkar, Beena Siddharth, Tanvi Dhuri, and Vipul Khandale. Lyrics by Sandeep Gachhande have been set to music by Nishad Golambre, with background score by Agnel Roman and editing by Nilesh Gawand. Kafil Ansari serves as Production Head, Manas Redkar as Associate Director and Rajyapal Singh as Executive Producer. The film’s distribution is handled by Cinepolis. The artistic team includes Devendra Tawde (Art Direction), Ranjit Sahu (Cinematography), Mayuri Bastawdekar (Hairstyling), Chini Chetan (Choreography), Madhav Mhapanakar (Make-up), and Pratibha Gaikwad (Costume Design).
