‘Mrutyuchakra’ Trailer Released, Sending Chills Down the Spine! A Thrilling Game of Mystery, Fear and Destiny to Unfold on the Big Screen
The rich tradition of Marathi cinema has always given special place to stories that explore unconventional themes and challenge the audience’s perspective. Continuing this legacy, the upcoming suspense-thriller Mrityuchakra delves into the mysteries of human existence, the enigma of karma, the inevitable cycle of death, and a series of inexplicable events. Weaving together the mystery beyond death, the unfathomable workings of karmic reckoning, and an ever-present shadow of fear, Mrityuchakra has already sparked curiosity ahead of its release. The trailer launch event of the film was recently held in the presence of Siddhivinayak Temple Trust trustee Rajaram Deshmukh, Akhil Bharatiya Chitrapat Mahamandal President Meghrajraje Bhosale, and Vice President Dhanaji Yamkar, who graced the occasion as chief guests. This mysterious thriller will unravel on the big screen across Maharashtra on October 23.
Presented by Shri Mahadev Film Production and produced by Adhyansh Motion Picture, the much-talked-about film is produced by Pranali Unmesh Waghmode, while Vilas Waghmode and Anuprita Kadu-Gangawane have directed the film. The trailer’s visual narrative is gripping and deeply intriguing. The ominous ticking of a mysterious cycle, ancient structures emerging through hazy light, an eerie veil of darkness, the terror of a serial killer, a mysterious atmosphere, and haunting background music cutting through the silence come together to send chills down the spine. The costumes, rooted in a simple rural setting, contrast with the inexplicable expressions on the characters’ faces, hinting at the deeper mystery at the heart of the story.
The hospital sequences, medical realities, and the conflict between human understanding and mysterious forces beyond comprehension make the suspense even more intriguing, creating the thrilling sensation that a new twist is unfolding with every passing second. “It begins where it ended… the cycle of death – Mrutyuchakra…” is a cryptic message that further intensifies the intrigue. The enigmatic line, “Behind every death lies an invisible shadow…”, deepens the mystery surrounding the film’s narrative.
Speaking about the trailer, the directors said, “‘Mrutyuchakra’ is not merely a game of mystery and thrill; it is an experience that looks at death, karma and human existence from a different perspective. The trailer offers only a glimpse of the film, while we have deliberately kept the mystery behind it and the thread connecting every incident hidden from the audience. Our attempt is to ensure that the curiosity created while watching the trailer stays alive until audiences reach the theatres. We believe that ‘Mrutyuchakra’ will not merely scare the audience, but will also leave them with questions that continue to linger in their minds even after the film ends.”
The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Shashank Shende, Akshaya Gurav, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Aastad Kale, Varsha Dandale, Kritika Tulaskar, Sanika Banarswale, Sanjay Shejwal, Shalaka Gade, Shara Gaikwad, Jitendra Pol and Anil Rabale.
The technical team behind the film is equally strong. The original story is by Dr. Sudhir Nikam, while the screenplay and dialogues have been written by Vilas Waghmode and Dr. Sudhir Nikam. Rohan Shah serves as the Creative Producer. The film will be distributed across Maharashtra through UJM Networks & Entertainment LLP, led by Jayesh Mistry. The film’s music and spine-chilling background score have been composed by Kedar Divekar, while the lyrics penned by Valay Mulgund have been brought to life through the melodious voices of Suhas Sawant and Shamika Bhide. The film’s striking cinematography is by DOP Nishant Bhagwat, while editor Rahul Bhatankar has crafted the film’s compelling visual flow. Mayur Pawar serves as the Production Designer, Kunal Vedpathak as the Art Director, Kirti Jangam Joshi as the Costume Designer, and Santosh Gayake as the Makeup Artist, with each member of the team contributing significantly to bringing the world of ‘Mrutyuchakra’ to life.
