In Marathi cinema, films are always made on various topics. Some of these movies are full-on entertaining comedies, while others are entertaining as well as enlightening. The second schedule of the upcoming Marathi film ‘Reelstar’, which shows the reality of the society and entertains the audience, is currently underway. Bhushan Manjule, brother of well-known director-actor Nagaraj Manjule, will be seen in the lead role in ‘Reelstar’.

‘Reel Star’ is produced under the banners of JFives Entertainments and Initiative Films. Simmy Joseph, the director of the multi-starrer ‘Anya’, and Robin Varghese are directing ‘Reelstar’. Bhushan Manjule has got an opportunity to play the hero in such an important film. Bhushan has previously played a supporting role in Marathi films like ‘Fandry’, ‘Sairat’, ‘Karkhanisanchi Wari’, ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ as well as in the Hindi film ‘Zund’. He will be seen in the lead role for the first time on the occasion of ‘Reelstar’. The characters played by Bhushan have always been appreciated. Therefore, the role in ‘Reelstar’ will also be liked by the audience. Bhushan is working hard for this film and is studying hard to present the nuances of his character in front of the camera. Regarding the selection of Bhushan, Simmy Joseph said, “We wanted a fresh face for the role of the hero, who should not feel new to the audience.” Bhushan is known to the audience as he has acted in many films. Bhushan was selected as his acting style is good and he is sure that he can do proper justice to the hero of this film. The moment Bhushan heard the story, he was overwhelmed. He gladly accepted the offer of ‘Reelstar’ as he got a chance to appear in front of the fans as a hero through a film with a different storyline. He also said that he is currently working hard for this.

The exciting screenplay and dialogues of ‘Reelstar’ have been written by Robin Varghese and Sudhir Kulkarni. Along with Bhushan, it stars Urmila Jagtap, Prasad Oak, Ruchira Jadhav, Milind Shinde, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Suhas Joshi, Vijay Patkar, Kailas Waghmare, Mahesh Subedar, Shivaji Patne, Mahendra Patil, Deepak Pandey, Ganesh Revdekar, Abhinav Patekar and others. The roles played by child actors Arjun Gaykar, Tanishka Mhadse in ‘Reelstar’ are also important. Cinematographer Shinob has done the cinematography and Rahul Sharma has done the production design. Mahendra Patil is the creative producer of the film and Nandu Achrekar is the Associate director. Music composed by music composer Vinu Thomas has been written by Guru Thakur, Mandar Cholkar and Prashant Jamdar. The costumes are done by Rani Wankhade and Makeup by Bhagwat Sonawane.
