Audiences won’t have to wait much longer to witness the Marathi film ‘Ashtapadi’, as it is all set for a statewide release in Maharashtra on May 30. Before that, the film’s gripping trailer has been released, giving viewers a sneak peek into the musical journey. ‘Ashtapadi’ promises to be a melodious, family-centric cinematic experience. The trailer, with its poetic beginning, has already captured the attention of viewers.

Under the banner of Mahashri Production and Yuvraj Cine Creation, producers Uttkarsh Jain and Mahendra Patil have brought ‘Ashtapadi’ to life. The film has been directed by producer Uttkarsh Jain himself, while the story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by creative director Mahendra Patil. The newly released trailer effectively gives a glimpse into what the film has to offer. It opens with the poetic line “Kunich nasava avatibhavati, samor tu astana…” (Let there be no one around when you are before me…), which sets a lyrical tone. Actor Santosh Juvekar appears as a poetically inclined protagonist and actress Mayuri Kapadane, for whom the poem is recited, captures the audience’s attention.
The trailer showcases various shades of love, enhancing curiosity about the movie. It hints at a unique perspective on love, backed by soulful music and meaningful dialogues. With two male leads and one female lead, the mystery of who truly finds love adds intrigue. Director-producer Uttkarsh Jain shared that ‘Ashtapadi’ redefines love, exploring dimensions never before seen on screen. He believes that audiences will see reflections of their own lives in the film’s portrayal of modern relationships. According to him, ‘Ashtapadi’ is a complete entertainment package. Uttkarsh Jain also said that if the film ‘Ashtapadi’ is a financial success, he will donate a portion of it to the National Defense Fund.
The film stars Santosh Juvekar and Mayuri Kapadane, along with Abhinay Patekar, Milind Phatak, Mona Kamat, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Madhav Abhyankar, Vishal Arjun, Vinita Kale, Chanda Sarsekar, Kalpana Rane, Uttkarsh Jain, Mahendra Patil, and Nayana Bidve. The meaningful lyrics by Ganesh Cheulkar and Prashant Jamdar are set to melodious tunes by composer Milind More, who also provides the film’s background score. Nilesh Rasal has handled art direction, with makeup by Atul Shidhaye and costumes by Anjali Khobrekar and Swapna Raut. Cinematography is by Dhanraj Wagh, choreography by Digvijay Joshi, and executive production by Ajay Khade. Rahul Patil and Nandu Acharekar are the film’s associate directors.
