Teaser of ‘Ladki Bahin’ launched by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde… Releasing in theatres on May 15!

The teaser of the upcoming Marathi film ‘Ladki Bahin’ was grandly launched yesterday at the hands of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, in the presence of several prominent state ministers. The event witnessed the attendance of notable political leaders including MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar, Sheetal Mhatre, Water Supply Minister Gulabrao Patil, Minister of State Yogesh Kadam, and Industries Minister Uday Samant.

Speaking at the teaser launch, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the film’s team. He said, “This film is not just entertainment but a reflection of how the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme and other welfare initiatives are reaching ordinary women.” He also appealed to women across Maharashtra, saying, “The film releases on May 15. Everyone should watch it with their families in theatres. It effectively showcases how the government stands firmly behind you and how you can benefit from these schemes to improve your lives.”

Carrying a strong message of women’s empowerment, ‘Ladki Bahin’ is set to release across Maharashtra on May 15. The film presents information about various government schemes in an engaging manner, creating significant curiosity among audiences.

Presented by Shubham Film Production, ‘Ladki Bahin’ is directed by Sheetal Shinde, who has also produced it under the banner of Shanidev Films. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Ganesh Shinde. Shekhar Mate is the co-producer, while Babasaheb Patil serves as the executive producer. Cinematography is handled by Baba Lad and Chaitanya Salunkhe.

The film stars Smita Tambe in the lead role, alongside a strong supporting cast including Surekha Kudachi, Usha Nadkarni, Usha Naik, Gautami Patil, Rukmini Sutar (Saru Aaji), Sarika Jadhav, Poonam Kapse, Madhav Abhyankar, Shashank Shende, Anil Nagarkar, Suresh Vishwakarma, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Sanjay Khapre, Ganesh Shinde, Darshana Jokare, Shambho Mahajan, and Mega Shinde.
