‘KGF’ Fame Garuda Ram Joins the Cast of ‘Devghar On Rent’… ‘Devghar On Rent’ to Hit Theatres on September 25…
The growing global recognition of Marathi cinema is a matter of immense pride for every Marathi person. It is often seen that actors and technicians from other regional film industries across India are eager to be part of Marathi films that are making their mark on the global stage. Director Swaroopp Sawant’s upcoming Marathi film ‘Devghar On Rent’, which has already created curiosity with its unique title and subject, also features talented actors and technicians from the South Indian film industry. Interestingly, the film will release on September 25 across Maharashtra, as well as in Belgaon, Hyderabad, Indore and Baroda.
Presented by Anandi Pictures Amravati and produced by Radhakrushna Production, the film is produced by Sachin Rode Patil and Poonam Chaudhary Patil. Swaroopp Sawant, who is currently in the news for his Marathi film ‘Maharashtra Epstein Files’, has directed ‘Devghar On Rent’. The concept of the film is by Poonam Chaudhary Patil, while Sanjay Navgire has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.
Important information about the film was recently revealed. South Indian actors Shravan Raghavendra and ‘KGF’ fame Garuda Ram play pivotal roles in the film. As suggested by its title, ‘Devghar On Rent’ presents a story that blends spirituality with contemporary life, while also adding a powerful dose of action. South Indian cinema is widely regarded for its high-octane action and over the past few years, Hindi-speaking audiences have also embraced this style of action. Now, Marathi audiences will get to experience this brand of action in ‘Devghar On Rent’. Karthik Dangari, known as the action master of ‘Pushpa’, has design the action sequences for the film. Gripping action sequences that keep audiences on the edge of their seats are expected to be one of the film’s major highlights. To achieve this, the makers have incorporated production values on par with Hindi and South Indian films.
Producer Sachin Rode Patil said that powerful action was essential to the story of the film. He added that the makers wanted everything presented on screen to offer complete entertainment to the audience, which is why they have incorporated high-impact action sequences. Director Swaroopp Sawant said that Karthik Dangari was not chosen merely to attract attention with a South Indian-style action element. Audiences, he believes, will be impressed by his work. The action sequences, integrated into a screenplay filled with dramatic developments, will keep viewers engaged. Garuda Ram and Shravan Raghavendra have worked extensively in the South Indian film industry and are popular there. The film required accomplished actors of their calibre to portray two important characters, and both have lived up to the makers’ expectations. Sawant further explained that ‘Devghar On Rent’ connects spirituality with the present day. The spiritual aspect of this contemporary story is extremely significant, he added.
The film stars Nikhil Chavan, Ankit Mohan, Bhau Kadam, Shashank Shende, Ashwini Chavare, Vaibhav Chavan, Suresh Vishwakarma, Anil Nagarkar, Siddheshwar Jhadbuke and Gautami Patil, among others. Music composers S. Sagar and Kabir Shakya have given melodious musical arrangements to the meaningful songs in the film, while the choreography has been handled by Kishor Dalvi. Cinematography is by DOP Chaitanya Salunkhe, with Rohit Nagbhide composing the background score. Dilip Kandhare has handled the art direction. Apeksha Gandhi Soni is the costume designer, while Sujit Survase has handled the makeup. Anuneha Ghodke is the executive producer, while Yash Sanas is the production manager. Akshay Londhe has handled sync sound, Sharma’s team has overseen the lighting, and Vijay Mhaske has served as the production head.
