‘Bagad Bagad’ from Sujay Dahake’s ‘Tujhya Aaila’ Strikes a Nostalgic Chord, Brings Childhood Memories Alive
The makers of ‘Tujhya Aaila’ have unveiled the film’s latest track, “Bagad Bagad”, a heartfelt celebration of childhood, friendship and the unforgettable memories of growing up. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sujay Dahake, the film is produced under the strategic partnership of Panorama Studios, Cult Digital and Prakash Films, and is slated for a theatrical release across Maharashtra on September 25.
More than just a song, “Bagad Bagad” serves as an emotional turning point in the narrative. Sung by singer-composer Avdhoot Gupte, written by lyricist Mandar Cholkar, and composed by acclaimed music director Varun Likhate, the track blends evocative lyrics with an uplifting melody that perfectly captures the innocence and energy of adolescence. ‘Bagad Bagad…’, has been released to the audience under the Zee Music label.

Opening with the poignant lines, “Jitha Jitha Gelas Tu, Umatla Tuzha Thasa…”, the song revisits cherished moments of school life—playground games, carefree adventures, friendships, rivalries, first separations and the bonds that shape one’s identity. Its recurring refrain, “Unad Dupari Bagad Bagad…”, instantly transports listeners back to lazy summer afternoons spent roaming the neighbourhood without a care in the world.
Shot in natural light across realistic locations, the song mirrors the authenticity that defines Sujay Dahake’s storytelling. The visuals not only recreate the spirit of childhood but also offer glimpses of the traditional game that lends the film its title, adding another layer of curiosity to the narrative.
Avdhoot Gupte’s energetic vocals bring Mandar Cholkar’s nostalgic words to life, while Varun Likhate’s melodious composition elevates the emotional impact, making Bagad Bagad a song that is both instantly memorable and deeply relatable.
Tujhya Aaila is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Muralidhar Chhatwani under Panorama Studios; Suunil Jaiin and Aditya Joshi under Cult Digital; and Rajesh Singh under Prakash Films. The film is co-produced by Sushant Vengurlekar, Mohit Aroora and Meghana Pramanik.
The film stars Rajshri Deshpande, Rohini Hattangadi, Sambhaji Bhagat, Abhijit Thite, Soham Babar and Abhishek Zende, alongside a talented ensemble of child artistes.
With Bagad Bagad already resonating with audiences for its emotional warmth and nostalgic appeal, Tujhya Aaila continues to build anticipation ahead of its theatrical release on September 25.
