Nargis Fakhri desires to reunite with director Shoojit Sircar, opens up about working with John Abraham in ‘Madras Café’

Nargis Fakhri has delivered some of the most substantial films, contributing significantly to the realm of Indian cinema. One of the classic films of Nargis Fakhri is ‘Madras Café’, which saw her play the role of a spy alongside John Abraham. The actress gave a performance to be remembered in the Shoojit Sircar directorial. Revisiting the film, Nargis opened up about her ‘rewarding experience’ of working on the Shoojit Sircar directorial with John Abraham.

“Working with John Abraham was an absolute pleasure. He is incredibly easygoing and creates such a comfortable environment on set. Beyond that, he is a kind and intelligent person, which makes collaborating with him not only enjoyable but also inspiring. It was a truly rewarding experience to be a part of Madras Café,” Nargis said.

Nargis also spoke about Shoojit Sircar and how working under him was an “immersive experience”. “His extraordinary creativity and focus brought the set to life so vividly that it felt as if we were living in the reality of the story rather than filming it. His passion for the project was evident in every detail, and he created an environment so authentic that it allowed me to fully inhabit my character. It was an incredible experience to work with someone who could blur the lines between fiction and reality so seamlessly. I truly wish and hope to work with him once again,” she shared.

The 2013 release shed limelight on Nargis Fakhri’s range as an actress, making her filmmakers’ favourite for different parts. Post ‘Madras Cafe’, Nargis portrayed several roles, showcasing her versatility. Last seen in ‘Tatlubaaz’, Nargis is now looking forward to several interesting projects, which she will announce soon.
