A Game of Mystery Unfolds at the Doorstep of the Divine… Thrilling Teaser of ‘Devghar On Rent’ Unveiled…
The anticipation surrounding the upcoming Marathi film ‘Devghar On Rent’, which brings together spirituality, mystery and thrilling action in a unique blend, has now reached its peak. Ever since its title was announced, the film has been in the spotlight for its unconventional subject, and its teaser has now been unveiled for audiences. The teaser has further heightened curiosity and anticipation among viewers. It offers an intriguing glimpse into a mysterious atmosphere, a police investigation unfolding under the shadow of an enigma, hints of spine-chilling and blood-soaked incidents, and an inexplicable narrative that ultimately leads to the doorstep of the divine. ‘Devghar On Rent’ is scheduled to release on September 25, 2026, across Maharashtra, as well as in Belgaon, Hyderabad, Indore and Baroda.
Presented by Anandi Pictures Amravati and produced by Radhakrushna Production, the film is produced by Sachin Rode Patil and Poonam Chaudhary Patil. Directed by Swaroop Sawant, who is also the director of the much-talked-about upcoming Marathi film ‘Maharashtra Epstein Files’, ‘Devghar On Rent’ is based on an original concept by Poonam Chaudhary Patil, with the story, screenplay and dialogues penned by Sanjay Navgire. Right from the beginning, the teaser creates an atmosphere of mystery. As the visuals unfold inside a temple-like structure, one mystery after another begins to surface. The frantic movements of the police, suspicious activities, a weapon smeared with blood and tense situations make it clear that the film goes beyond spirituality, adding a powerful layer of mystery and action. The tension and emotional conflict visible on the faces of several characters also stand out in the teaser. This raises curiosity about the secret hidden within a story revolving around God, faith and human actions. The film appears to be woven around the mysterious and thought-provoking idea, “Whatever the karma, all paths lead to the doorstep of the divine.” At the same time, described as a story “that stands on the threshold between thought and irrationality,” the film has further sparked curiosity about the mystery it is set to unravel.
The film features Nikhil Chavan, Ankit Mohan, Bhau Kadam, Shashank Shende, Ashwini Chavare, Vaibhav Chavan, Suresh Vishwakarma, Anil Nagarkar, Siddheshwar Zadbuke and Gautami Patil in key roles. South Indian actors Garuda Ram, known for KGF, and Shravan Raghavendra will also be seen in significant roles. Music composers S. Sagar and Kabir Shakya have given a melodious touch to the meaningful songs in the film, while the choreography has been handled by Kishor Dalvi. Cinematography is by DOP Chaitanya Salunke, with Rohit Nagbhide composing the background score. The action sequences have been choreographed by Rakesh Patil and Kartik Dangri. Dilip Kandhare has handled the art direction, while the costumes have been designed by Apeksha Gandhi Soni and makeup has been done by Sujit Survase. Anuneha Ghodke and Yash Sanas have served as the executive producer and production manager respectively. Akshay Londe has handled sync sound, Sharma’s team has taken care of the lighting, and Vijay Mhaske has served as the production head.
